PET CORNER

This corner is dedicated to Gaby, Ninja, Leia, Albert, Burrito and Max, my six angels, for making my life so complete

Diet, Acupuncture, Chinese and Western Herbs, Chinese Massage, Homeopathy and Reiki are under no circumstance a substitute to traditional veterinary care. These therapies are a complement as well as an enhancement to western traditons. But lastly, it is your decision as a pet owner and no one else's, to decide which method of healing is appropriate for your pet.

Diet

Feeding our pets a raw food diet is the way to go. We take good care of our nutrition, but have you ever questioned yourself whether you are feeding the right kind of food to your pet? Feeding commercial kibble is the same as if you would feed your dog McDonald's or BK everyday.  Surprised? I was too.  Have you ever seen a dog grilling or cooking? If you have, please let me know.  Dogs as well as cats are carnivores and hunters.  So feeding a raw diet of mostly bone and meat is the closest we can get to nature. Because of convenience and lack of time is easier to feed kibbles. Feeding a raw food diet to your pets is similar in cost to feeding kibbles with the advantage of knowing exactly what goes into their tummies and of being able to feed them with no problem if you take them on a trip.  Allergies and skin problems improve dramatically or disapperar completely when you feed raw.

You don't think raw is the way to go? We respect that.  But keep in mind there are many alternatives to kibbles.  A home-cooked diet is another way of doing it. Last but not least  if your time is limited and you feel that feeding raw does not suit your life style, you can click on the links at the bottom of this page and learn what other options are there for your pet companion.

Also, to supplement their diet and aid the process of digestion we highly recommend enzymes and probiotics.

Monthly workshops on choosing the best method to feed your pets are offered at JOMC. Please call our office for more information: 910-989-0002
